Most of our alpacas are colored suris – exhibiting only the best in high quality, suri phenotype. My goal as a suri breeder is to get what used to be called the “super suri” – a magnificent WHITE suri showing only the strongest in suri phenotype (dense, well-locked fleece with blinding luster, incredible fleece coverage from head to toe in a solid boned but “stretchy” conformation) in BLACKS, GREYS, and DARK MAHOGANY colors instead of just white. Of course, there is always an important and significant place for high quality white suris in a good breeding program. My goal as a suri breeder is to get the best of the whites in a black format!
These concepts also transcend to my huacaya herd in which my goals are to breed for the highest quality in color and conformation as well. Furthermore, easy temperament and friendly personalities are also important traits which we strive to reinforce and perfect in our entire herd.
